The prestige former provincial chairman among the old Guiyang people not only made military exploits in the Northern Expedition, but also brought Guizhou from a barbaric state to modern times. In the 1920s, the whole of China was in a state of war between warlords and chaos. In 1926, Zhou Xicheng was in charge of Guizhou. Facing the wild, poor and ignorant land in central Guizhou, Zhou Xicheng eliminated bandits, punished corruption, prevented military disasters, established new industries, built roads, and opened education, making important contributions to the development of Guizhou. Zhou Xicheng's subordinate, the well-known city defense commander Song Xing, known as Song Saber, has a ferocious method of managing social security. He personally killed robbers at the Grand Cross in Guiyang. During the reign of Zhou Xicheng in Guizhou, the province's thousand-year-old bandits were greatly eliminated. Song Xing later participated in the revolutionary sacrifice in Hunan and was posthumously regarded as a martyr. Zhou Xicheng led Guizhou to set up the first power plant, the first highway, the first radio station, the first weaving factory, paper mill, mint, mine... and purchased the first factory in Guizhou. The car brought Guizhou from a barbaric state into modern times. Just when Zhou Xicheng was smug and ambitious and vigorously developed Guizhou, the Jiang-Gui War broke out. Chiang Kai-shek ordered Zhou Xicheng to attack the Guizhou faction in Guangxi and was rejected, and immediately ordered Li Xiaoyan of Yunnan to attack Guizhou. In the spring of 1929, Zhou Xicheng personally led his troops to defend his homeland. Unfortunately, Jigongbei was killed in the lower reaches of Huangguoshu, Zhenning, Guizhou, at the age of 36. After Zhou Xicheng was killed in battle, the people of the whole province were extremely mournful and honored, and asked for a public funeral. On January 20, 1930, he was buried at the public ceremony in his hometown of Tongzi County. Zhou Xicheng's tomb was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, and now only the Zhou Gong Temple remains in Tongzi. Zhou Xicheng is in the lower reaches of Huangguoshu in Guizhou. In order to commemorate Zhou Xicheng's contribution to Guizhou, in 1934, all sectors of society donated money to build a bronze statue of Zhou Xicheng at the current fountain in Guiyang, which became a famous bronze statue platform in Guiyang. In 1952, in order to build a fountain, the bronze statue of Zhou Xicheng was demolished after standing in Guiyang for 17 years. As a member of the old warlord, Zhou Xicheng was not perfect. But his achievements have always been imprinted in the hearts of Guizhou people, and people have not forgotten him. In the construction of "Guiyang Story Street" in Tianhetan Scenic Area in Guizhou, the bronze statue of Zhou Xicheng, which was pushed back to 1964, was reshaped, and the people saw him again.
